SCIENTIFIC MIND EVENT 2008

April 16-17, 2008 is the days when, already ninth time, the “Scientific mind event 2008” in Mykolas Romeris University comes to force.  The event is organized by Mykolas Romeris University Students scientific society (MRU SMD).

"Scientific mind event 2008” – is an international scientific conference where students from Mykolas Romeris University, students from foreign Universities and well known academics from different countries as well will meet in Vilnius for common discussion about scientific issues. This year we are expecting foreign guests from Italy, Germany, United Kingdom, Poland, Romania, Russia, Turkey, Belarus, and Ukraine and from Latvia.  Members from Lithuanian Parliament, Lithuanian Government, Lithuanian Constitution Court, Lithuanian Supreme Court and Lithuanian Appeal Court will attend “Scientific mind event 2008” as well. Furthermore the emeritus professors and well known academics of Mykolas Romeris University will be present at the event.   
“Law mind event” first time was arranged in 1999 when couple members of Students scientific society from law philosophy unit organized conference which made a point for academic community to try to achieve the same event each year about the sore points and the most topical issues in different law branches. 

During the long eight years period “Scientific mind event” accrued huge experience hereof allowed to formulate its own traditions which every year are becoming stronger and stronger. The fact that every year the event gains more and more recognition we gladly can observe that this event became a part of different branches of academic research. Nowadays “Scientific mind event” is the biggest international conference in Mykolas Romeris University.

This year the event will continue for two days. Every year “Scientific mind event” begins by a solemn spectacular opening ceremony which always is original and gripping. All our guests who were mentioned before always participate in an inimitable opening ceremony.

Since opening ceremony is done the main part of event takes part. All the bets research projects are present by its authors. Later on in the evening all guests and sponsors are invited to the outstanding antique performance which is build by the well known academic Terese Velickiene.    

The second day starts again by presentation of best research projects. At the end of the day all participants are invited to the closing ceremony. During the ceremony the best authors of research projects are awarded and honored. As a tradition of closing ceremony became a game between students and professors which helps to decide who are more ingenious, who are smarter and who has more knowledge. Furthermore, we are organizing an auction during which the guests have a great opportunity to buy items which are donated by professors`. Money which are earn form auction are sacrificed to children`s home.

"Scientific mind event” is a significant collaboration sign between youths and already well know scientists, which promote research in Lithuania and abroad as well.
